Gaza is an open-air prison. Where pray tell, is a safe place to evacuate to? How are they to get there? What food, water, medicine, shelter, and other essentials are available?

They want to maximize civilian casualties. This is usually denied by anti-zionists who couldn't give a shit about Palestinians.

=============

Usually, the leaflets will tell people where to go and if not, IDF strikes are usually on particular houses or within particular neighborhoods. Residents leave the neighborhood and they should be okay.

Don't believe me, that's fine. Israel's record speaks for itself as its civilian to combatant ratio is around 1:1 in previous battles the past decade. That's better than the 2:1, 3:1, or worse ratio for the US, UK, NATO during the same time period. In fact, western nations are starting to utilize Israeli methods since they've proven to be effective in safeguarding civilians.

Some Gazans have admitted that they were afraid of criticizing Hamas, but none have said they had been forced by the organisation to stay in places of danger and become unwilling human-shields. The Bani Sobeila area, near Khan Younis, where the Abu Jamaa deaths took place received leaflets dropped from the air last week warning them to leave.

But almost all stayed. One reason for that was many of the houses belonged to the Abu Jamaa clan who felt there was safety in staying together. Another reason was given by a neighbour, Abdullah al-Daweish: “Where do we go to? Some people moved from the outer edge of Khan Younis to Khan Younis centre after Israelis told them to, then the centre got bombed. People have moved from this area to Gaza City, and Gaza City has been bombed. It’s not Hamas who is ordering us in this, it’s the Israelis.”

...B'tselem and Breaking-The-Silence have acknowledged it, news articles have reported weapons in mosques, Hamas HQ in Shifa hospital, missiles fired out of civilian areas, the UN and EU are condemning all this, video confirms all this, and missiles were just found in 2 different UN schools this week.

The Independent's Report is complete propaganda that's pro-Hamas and decidedly ANTI-Palestinian. They are only encouraging Hamas to continue their war crimes vs. the Palestinian people.

Hamas not only admits it, they boast of it.

Two stashes of rockets have been found by the UN in schools right next to makeshift housing this week.

This is the kind of stuff only religious fanatics would deny.

Israeli propaganda war hits social media

A computer lab staffed by students in an Israeli university is playing a key role in the war of information in the Gaza conflict.

Inspired by the role of social media during the Arab Spring and boosted by the support of the Israeli government and Israel Defence Force, student volunteers at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, a private university north of Tel Aviv, are waging their own propaganda war countering online anti-Israeli sentiment.

According to Igal Raich, a 23-year-old IDC student who volunteers in what is called "The Advocacy Room", the project aims to counter what is perceived as a false representation of Israel in international and social media through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
