Netanyahu’s Parisian follies

http://mondoweiss.net/2015/01/netanyahus-parisian-follies

Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to Paris has become a source of controversy back in Israel, where he is campaigning for March elections. The Times of Israel reports that Netanyahu lectured French Jews that their complacency about living in Paris recalls the Jewish position in Spain before the inquisition.

During a closed meeting with the heads of France’s Jewish organizations Monday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu likened the complacency of French Jewry to the state of Jews in Spain prior to the Spanish Inquisition of 1492, which led to their expulsion from the Catholic kingdom, The Times of Israel has learned…

This meeting with the Jewish leaders was described by participants as “harsh” and “deeply insulting.”..

“Imagine if following a terror attack in Netanya the French president would arrive in Israel and call on Jews to leave for France,” he said. “As it is, Jews are perceived by some [in France] as a fifth column.”

This is exactly the angle I would've expected him to take with respect to the recent tragic events in Paris.

(Just like Netanyahu's reaction was what I would have expected from him).

Netanyahu was berating French Jews: not the thing that I would expect from anybody beyond the age of 4. But I have also posted a backup article from the times of Israel so you can poopoo that as well.

So if anybody was making a mistake with this French tragedy it was the Clown Prince of Israel himself.

It's very strange how so many on I/P run to the defense, ober, of Israel's own George Dubya Bush on a democratic message board.

Netanyahu compares France to pre-Inquisition Spain

Participants in PM’s closed Paris meeting with Jewish leaders say he was insulting and smug, decry his excessive reliance on parliamentarian Meyer Habib

While Netanyahu’s public call during his two-day visit to Paris for French Jews to emigrate to Israel drew sharp criticism from domestic political opponents as well as from community leaders in Europe, his meeting with the Jewish leaders was described by participants as “harsh” and “deeply insulting.”

Netanyahu is nuttier than squirrel droppings.

I'm not sure what Israel's George Bush thinks he is accomplishing except for creating an even bigger divide with Europe than previously existed. That's not really something to brag about. Well, I guess that King Bibi needs new inductees to the illegal West Bank colonies than solid relations with Europe.
