GetEQUAL Arrested At Boehner’s Office While Demanding ENDA Action

Eight LGBT activists protesting a lack of Congressional action on ENDA late this morning were arrested after refusing to leave Speaker of the House John Boehner’s offices. Holding signs that read, “Time for you to lead,” and “Time for ENDA,” the activists read quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr., and others.
GetEQUAL has been advocating heaving for ENDA recently, and in what was viewed as a controversial action last week interrupted the First Lady at a fundraiser to highlight the need for ENDA.
The activists reportedly were asked to exit the offices, which they did, but the refused to leave the building and several were arrested.
