Sex reassignment surgery in Thailand ?

I have someone close to me considering this option. Does anyone have an informed opinion about this?

1. Some information

There are several very good to excellent surgeons in Thailand that perform SRS procedures. Probably the best known is Suporn, who works out of Chonburi. His technique is different from most surgeons and requires an extended stay in Thailand - approximately a full month. Most reports are very positive about Suporn, the general phraseology is "The plumbing works and the electricity is turned on."

There are other doctors who perform excellent work. Some are better for Caucasian physiology, others are better for Oriental bodies. Your friend needs to do a lot of work researching who's available, including meeting patients in real life.
