Dinesh D'Souza: Hitler was NOT anti-gay.

"I'll take 'inexplicable excuses for $200, Alex."

"Answer: 'I don't know. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment.'"

"What is, 'why do you keep reading this guy's tweets?'"

Hitler was NOT anti-gay. He refused to purge gay Brownshirts from Nazi ranks saying he had no problem as long as they were good fighters

Lakoff: Repeating his words helps him. Start with the truth. If necessary state the lie. end with the truth.

Better headline:
Dinesh even lies about Hitler

The place is unsettling. So many good people murdered. Jews, gays, gypsies (not so much in Dachau), intellectuals.

Dinesh is a grade A asshole.

Prominent ones were arrested and murdered in jail. Did keep them as street fighters to get into power. Some high-ups were notoriously homosexual.

IIRC gays had to wear pink triangles, Jews yellow ones.

Pathetic how many right-wingers view themselves / advertise themselves as intellectuals on the basis of nothing more than a bit of selective reading/memory!!

Paul Ryan is supposed to be their big policy wonk and his only idea is to blatantly lie. He knows nothing about laws, policy or the world. His favorite books are by Ayn Rand - proving his juvenile and simplistic worldview.

GOP donors have driven out smart GOPers - the remaining lot are craven and dumb enough to take money and parrot what they're told.

Just look at the Senate Judiciary comm. Burr is doing a decent job, but he's totally outclassed by Warner. Warner (D) is an impressive ex-AUSA who trained at top places. Burr (R) is an ex-lawn shears salesman. If Warner needs to outsmart him, it won't be a fair fight. Similar situations hold all over Congress. To be a GOP politician these days you cant be too smart or you'll see through their lies.

And Ayn Rand is for high schoolers with relatively long attention spans.

(Yes, I read them. All. Ask me a title. All the way through. At the same general time that I read all three volumes of Lord of the Rings in a weekend. Seriously.)

She was a hypocritical fraud. As is the current Republican party. And the Democratic party is no prize either, even if marginally better.

Democrats are doing well. Stay strong.

It's the GOP that has decayed and the GOP that is the problem. Any moderate 1980s republican has either in name or in practice joined the Democratic party.

As Bernie has said : 90% of America would vote progressive if not for GOP propaganda, money, and voter suppression.

Democrats are doing great - we the grassroots just needs to get out there and work.

The Dems have a ton of rising stars

And their top end leaders are great and eloquent: listen to Bernie speak. Or Pelosi. Or Liz Warren. Or Obama. They get it. They are great speakers and effective politicians.

If not for the right wing propanganda machine and GOP donor billions, those leaders would be leaders of all America. What we need to do at the grass roots is build on their excellent messages.

The anti gay laws were pre-Hitler, and not all that different from similar laws in all the "good guy" countries.

So yeah, the Nazi regime was anti gay for sure, but were they significantly more anti gay than the UK, USA, USSR, China etc?

But I can't recall the UK and USA rounding up and executing gays as a blanket policy. That's like arguing that the Nazi's were no more anti-semitic than other countries, because other countries were anti-semitic too.
