Iran sentences two gay rights activists to death

The Islamic Republic of Iran imposed the death penalty on two LGBTQ activists for allegedly promoting homosexuality, human rights organization Hengaw reported on Sunday.

According to Hengaw, an organization that documents human rights violations in Kurdistan, “Zahra Sediqi Hamedani, known as ‘Sareh,’ 31, from Naqadeh, and Elham Chubdar, 24, from Urmia, both activists of the LGBT community, were sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of Urmia in a joint case on the charge of ‘Corruption on Earth’ through the promoting of homosexuality.”

The Hengaw Human Rights Organization added that “the sentence has been announced to them in the past few days in the women's ward of Urmia Central Prison.”

Urmia is a city in the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran.

The independent Iranian news Twitter feed 1500tasvir also reported the sentencing, writing on Sunday that “Homosexual rights activists #Zahra_Seddighi (31) and #Elham Choobdar (24) have been sentenced to death.”

... that our society with all its obvious flaws is superior we would be canceled as Islamophobic because of "punching down." Of course this ignores the fact that extremist Muslims punch down against LGBT people.

Don't follow "the narrative" and you are even worse than those committing violence. Not all minorities are "equal". If a minority person is not on our side, then all bets are off and one can use any type of bigotry one desires, and it magically is no longer bigotry.

2. What Kind of World is This?

In certain countries, people born a certain way must hide in a republic where it’s a crime punishable by death to be born that way.

Now I understand what those MAGAts mean when they insist America is a republic and not a democracy. They want the U.S. to be a dictatorial theocracy like Iran. And they want to throw gay people under the bus to prove it—because MAGAts are too stupid to know buses are for transporting large numbers of people peacefully.

These morons want to weaponize buses. But trust me, stupid drivers like this eventually lose control and get run over by their own vehicles.

And of course I am not saying this reflects all Muslims. I am willing to bet most American Muslims came to this country because they wanted more freedom then their country of origin offers.

8. If MAGA gets their way, death for being LGBTQ is coming here too

Many of the MAGA candidates are quite open about it now. "Gays should be executed." "Gays should be stoned to death." This is not solely a "Muslim" thing. It's religious extremism, period. The only difference between UltraMAGA and the Taliban when it comes to LGBTQ's is the Taliban is halfway around the world.

Bill Maher... That weasel-faced weasel is hardly a good source, considering how transphobic he is, and that he too has used his platform to speak up about "the transgender contagion" bullshit - though, he opted to use "trendy" instead of "contagion".
