We Are Woman Constitution Day Rally in Washington, D.C., 2014. The rally is focused on voter rights and the Equal Rights Amendment.

What would you do or sacrifice for it?


139 women have paid the ultimate price in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. They died for a Constitution that has no enumerated rights for women other than the vote. Why?  Because corporations want cheap labor, and that labor is done by women.

On average, White women make 77 cents to every man’s dollar.
Asians women 83 cents
Black women 65 cents
Latina Women 55 cents

US House members, including conservative women, voted against equal pay.

Demand that they support equal rights through the removal of the deadline or the ERA.

1. I want to go but I have a prior commitment which involves several other people , so

it is not like I can cancel it or reschedule - it is a charity fundraising event and I am the driver for several people - driver being the person who drives half way across the country while they are asleep (I prefer driving log distances at night when there is no traffic and it keeps everyone else quiet).
