Ark. Senate Advances Bill To Block Public Funding for Women's Health Clinics

March 11, 2015 — The Arkansas Senate on Monday voted 26-5 to approve a bill (SB 569) that would prohibit health centers that offer abortions or provide abortion referrals from receiving state or federal funds, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (Kloap, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, 3/9).
The bill now moves to the state House for consideration (Lyon, Arkansas News, 3/10).
