California high school sends 24 unvaccinated students home to prevent measles outbreak

In December, an unvaccinated woman visited Disneyland (then flew home) and spread measles to dozens of people. Now, in Disneyland's homeland of Orange County, 24 unvaccinated students have been temporarily banned from a Huntington Beach high school to prevent the outbreak from spreading from an infected student.

A parent can choose to endanger their children and expose them illness, disfigurement, and even death. A school does not have the luxury when it comes to other people's children.

like those who cannot get vaccinated for legitimate medical reasons, or infants under the age of 1 who are not yet vaccinated.

It's quite possible the parents who are stupidly refusing vaccines, and their children, will be just fine. Statistically speaking, a healthy child isn't likely to suffer any long term effects from having measles. But for those who are vulnerable, who can catch measles from those precious children, it's a big deal.
