'In another move to quell outrage over its price increases, the maker of the EpiPen said on Monday that it would introduce a generic version of the product, with a price about half of the existing EpiPens.
The company, Mylan, said that the generic EpiPen would be available in several weeks and be identical to the existing product, which is used to treat severe allergic reactions. But it would have a wholesale list price of $300 for a pack of two, compared with just above $600 for the existing product.
Under pressure, Mylan announced last week that it would increase the financial assistance it provided to commercially insured patients to help with their out-of-pocket costs. It also said it would broaden the eligibility for uninsured patients to receive free products.'>>>

(16,038 posts)They are selling, literally $10 worth of shit for 650 fucking dollars....how about no...how about you can't sell any product for more than 10% over the cheapest price for the same product whether it is sold in Mexico or in the veterinarian supplies.
Time to leverage big pharm like they are little doctors.
Any pharmacy should be able to sell generic equivalent without doctors approval, or any doctor not writing scripts for generic is subject to collusion prosecution.

(111,230 posts)People need to talk to their pharmacists. I understand Adrenaclick is still affordable, you just need to be trained in how to use it since it works differently. It's the same medicine with the same effect. Your pharmacist can show you how to use it.
Kill Heather's cash cow. It's the only way.
