and absorb a lot of the shock. Helmets are the difference between recovering and not recovering. They work.

The best idea is not to run into anything. If you do, you'd better be wearing a helmet unless you like the idea of being a veg kept alive by machines.

I think the point was to show the amount of movement that would occur with a blow hard enough to cause a concussion. He didn't seem to be using enough force for a real concussion. Just a guess.

so a lot less wibbly than the demonstration. However, the bouncing around inside the skull does occur and that's not great for axons and dendrites and why after a concussion, any activity that risks another should be avoided for six months or so, give the brain a chance to reestablish those connections.
