1. My kid had the shot and some symptoms months later on,

but the clinic had run out of tests so we just treated for flu without being sure.

Personally I don't think he had it since he has had those same symptoms before without having the flu, and also he had no aches and pains.

I did not get the flu shot. I normally do but just didn't get around to it last fall. Will never do that again! My daughter had it also and as a hospital nurse she did get the shot.

10. Over 3 weeks

Was acutely sick for a week and then felt weak and tired for 2 more, finally felt back to normal during the 4th week. The cough was the worst, just wouldn't go away - a "productive" cough as I had a lot of crud in the lungs. I'm a little north of 60 and normally quite healthy.

15. You will feel back to normal eventually

It just takes longer than you'd think. I took a couple sick days but still worked through most of it and I babysit my grandkids after school every day (they had the shot and didn't get it). Getting up and moving around is important as I've heard that people are getting pneumonia from staying in bed and the "crud" settles in your lungs.

I had a flu shot, yet got it myself and am only starting to feel better after a week. I have been hearing that many of our friends have had it or currently do. Misery.

This flu is really awful. It made my fingernails hurt. Terrible hacking cough, fever, chills, night sweats, day sweats, muscles and bones ached. The weirdest part was the second day I felt better and did things, thinking I had a mild cold. I am seventy and can see how this monster could kill older people. I did not take any prescription meds. I would love to hear from someone who is completely over it.

5. I had it in December

I had the flu shot in October, and had the flu in December. Got Tamiflu at the signs of the first symptoms, and still was down for a full week. It was nasty. And ironically, others I've known who got the shot, also got the flu; while many that didn't get the shot have not yet had it.

the flu, I guess, but it was very mild. Minor aches and pains, minor sore throat, no real temperature, a little bit of coughing and feeling out of it, but it did not progress. It certainly was not just a cold. We did not take Tamiflu, but we had it on hand, but nothing got that serious. I guess we had a mild case of the flu, some minor strain it seems.

have had it for a week but are recovering. They are anti-vaxxers. I’m sad for them and I think they’re stupid.

After a week of what I thought was a cold I woke up unable to breath. Tried to get to the bathroom twenty feet away and got half way there and called 911. In and out for the next three days the outcome was pneumonia and evidence of a very recent "cardiac event"...Went down January second and went home the following week and am now still dealing with multiple doctors and trying to get back to where I started. In short I was an overly confident idiot and I'll never again miss a flu and a pneumonia shot as winter approaches. I thought it was being overcautious to take preventative steps. I was wrong.

probably from the 1830 house we were working in. A few days of a productive cough and used neti pot and I was fine. I'ts been bad in the area. If your not getting any better and coughing or having problem breathing get yourself to the ER, its sepsis that killing most people. You may need a couple rounds of antibiotics z-packs to clear it.

Flu hit my old job hard right after I left. A number of people were out for 2 weeks with the average of 5 days off work.
