I had oral surgery today.

I have a mouth full of gauze. How long does it have to be there? I looked at my post-op instructions and they don't say. I just want to go to sleep but I am afraid if I leave the gauze in I'm going to gag on it. What do y'all think?

(and also was given extra dental gauze to use if the gauze got blood soaked and needed changing). I think you just need to leave it in until any major bleeding stops.

Also I tried to keep it in between my cheek and gum.
