Reminds me of Trek TOS or Trek TNG quality morality and ethics.

Did you notice the small clues? Like the strange dichotomy of state-of-the-art automatic weapons and body armor and broadswords, falchions and a mysterious stick that just seems to hover in the scene without explanation? I loved how the profile of the actor in the hoodie was so reminiscent of a crusader.

Probably the only hang up I had was how the axe is used. As I understand it, the axe in combat is used in a dancing fashion to keep the head accelerating. This means selecting targets ahead of time and positioning the body to take advantage of momentum created by the axe head to minimize the physical effort required by the wielder. This is true in the sword, as well, but less so as the blade is lighter.

I wish they spent more time on her history, the ethics of her situation and the effect she’s had over time. That was the core of the film and it was treated too lightly for my taste, transferring it to action and effects, which does nothing for me if it becomes central to the movie. It could have been better, but yes, bravo!

They sort of glossed over it. I really wanted to know more. Maybe there'll be a sequel where they dig more into her story.

Remind you of anything?

Give a whole new meaning to pussy-whipped.

I loved it the minute I saw it.

There are two weapons I loved. Conan’s blade from the first movie and her axe. The blade because it is a bastard sword with a handle up the grip that turns the blade with speed to point behind and that serves as a sword breaker as well, her axe, well, let’s say I’m a fan.

A sequel to the graphic novel has been written and here's a comment from Wikipedia:

Theron has expressed her interest in a second film, saying: "Let's have a little resting period, but just given the fact that all of us really want to do it, I'm sure when it's the right time, we'll start the conversation."

I hope it's soon,I really liked this one.
