Anyone watch Heartstopper on Netflix?

It’s an absolutely wonderful YA LGBTQ+ love story. NO QUEER BAITING, everything is done with such love and purpose. And, wow, the representation is just awesome. I watched it with my daughter and we both enjoyed the first season, crossing fingers for a second season.

BRILLIANT. Renewed for seasons 2 & 3... I haven't read the graphic novels, but the show is apparently very faithful to them.

From the actors, production crew, colors, etc, everything is done with such a beautiful purpose. I’ve learned from my daughter about all of the queer baiting that films and tv shows do, Killing Eve finale being the latest. Heartstopper is an absolute winner of a series.

What a brilliant show. I was not expecting it to hit me the way it did. This show about teens made my 43 year old self open up to the fact that I'm bi. ❤️💜💙

There is so much to it - they story, the representation, the chemistry between actors, the colors, the design, and and and.....I've rewatched it and there are many little details that you miss her and there until you see it again. So well done. Charlie Spring - for this introverted, soft-spoken, "small & weak" self - is one of the strongest characters out there.

"We did it Joe" has been trending on Twitter today in reference to Joe Locke (Charlie) and the fact that Netflix renewed it for 2 more seasons.

Yes, there is some obvious bullying and it doesn't need to ignore that, but marginalized groups need to see that members of their groups are OK and are happy and are as awkward as they are.

It seems like every episode, there was at least one scene where dust apparently got stirred up into my eyes, turning them red and teary. Is my house really that much in need of dusting?

As an old, cynical bi guy, it can't possibly be that there's any emotional content in this show right? Like the scene where Nick opens up to his mom? I mean, come on! Bi guys don't even really exist, right? (at least that's what I've been told!) I suppose Mr Connor should be given an Oscar, for his convincing portrayal of the mythic beast, the bisexual male.

Not to mention the scene where Nick shows up at Charlie's house in the rain. Are we expected to believe it rains like that in UK? So unrealistic!

And now there's going to be a season 2 and 3? I guess I'll need to clean house before those episodes!
