Like a lot of Fry's stuff, it can be a bit uneven, but overall is a sweet series.
And Fry is...Well, Fry.
I liked the series enough that I now have it for our video library.

We are big Stephen Fry fans. (pun intended)
Have you watched his BBC quiz show, QI?
A perfect niche for Fry, who loves language and words, and for Fry fans who love the same.
Mr. Dixie is especially fond of the show, it is up to Season...9, I think.

We've done the entire series, as well as the Making of Qi on Nick from Fulham's channel on YouTube. I love the interaction between Fry and the guests- case in point:

He used the phrase "beer goggles" last night, and i, not having seen that episode, thought he was very clever to use that phrase.

Heee...now I get to get him back.

(the guy with the long hair).

If you haven't seen his Jonathan Creek series--about a nebbish who designs illusions for stage magicians and branches off into solving seemingly impossible mysteries, with the help of a true crime writer (Caroline Quentin)--the time is yesterday.

The first two seasons with Quentin are the best. After she left, Davies' real-life significant other, Julia Sawalha, joined the cast, but for some strange reason, their on-screen chemistry is not as good. Still it's a fun series.

And I just found that QI is available on DVD from Amazon UK at a very low price. Onto the Wish List it goes!

12. Jonathan Creek was fantastic, and you're right, the Caroline Quentin episodes were the best.

Qi had so many outstanding guests. Eddie Izzard, Bill Bailey, Ross Noble, Phil Jupitus, Sandi Toksvig, Jo Brand, the list just goes on and on. Here's a taste for anyone who's never seen it.

He has most, if not all, of the Qi episodes posted and a lot more besides.
