I'm now into "Season 3" of CHUCK...and LOVING IT...Perfect Weekend and Forward Watch

for those who like "SPY/HUMOR/ACTION/CURRENT/THRILLER."

Netflix just put it up and I couldn't find reviews so after finding it so good I searched on my own. Here's some Indy Reviews.

We found it a cross between "White Collar" and "Eli Stone" with a little "James Bond Early Years" thrown in.

It's available on Netfix "Instant Watch" and "DVD Order" if anyone is interesting . WE ARE HOOKED! And love that the battle between CIA and NSA in this is from 2007 ...before anyone heard of Edward Snowden...and that's pretty cool, too!...the way this ties together some fun stuff with current goings on.

Here's some reviews from IMBD...that might clue you in:

CHUCK – Season 1

'Chuck' is a spy comedy drama following the adventures of Zachery Levi who stars as the eponymous Chuck. Chuck Bartowski is clever but unambitious and working in a dead-end job as part of the 'Nerd Herd' at the 'Buy More' in Burbank, California. That is until he receives an encoded email from Bryce Larkin (Matt Bomer), an old college friend that turns his world upside down. For encoded in the email is the only copy of all of the USA's spy secrets (The Intersect) which are subliminally downloaded into Chuck's brain, instantly turning him into the most important 'asset' in the whole of America.

Due to the value and importance of the information in Chuck's head he is assigned two 'handlers' to protect him, the beautiful but deadly Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski), and the ruthless and uncompromising John Casey (Adam Baldwin). During this first season the trio engage in espionage missions using the information in Chuck's head to thwart various enemies, whilst simultaneously attempting to keep Chuck's secret identity as the human intersect hidden. Moreover, Chuck's struggle to balance his spy life with his regular life is a recurring theme throughout the season.

Though 'Chuck' contains plenty of action it is the high quality of the comedic aspects that really make this series stand out. Indeed, it contains a mix of different kinds of comedy ranging from Call of Duty references to awkward situational comedy to slapstick pieces, all executed with panache by a talented clutch of actors. Certainly, much of the comic relief is based in and around the shows main set: the Burbank Buy More, where Chuck maintains his cover job. Populated by an eclectic assortment of characters the Buy More provides the perfect setting for the supporting cast members such as Morgan Grimes (Joshua Gomez), Jeff Barnes (Scott Krinsky), Lester Patel (Vik Sahay), Big Mike (Mark Christophe Lawrence), and Anna Wu (Julia Ling) to develop. In fact by the end of the season you want them to have even more screen time! Lastly, the cast is rounded off with Sarah Lancaster, and Ryan McPartlin, who play Chuck's sister and her boyfriend respectively. 'Chuck' also features good direction, as well as sharp witty writing which are complemented by some great set design and production pieces.

The main criticisms to be levied at this season are aimed at the repetitive action sequences. Though the action sequences are typically great throughout the season, toward the latter episodes they begin to feel similar and predictable. In addition though Chuck may get in trouble, such as being captured, he is never in danger.

Nonetheless, this show feels refreshingly original and inventive with the concept and execution of the Buy More a stroke of brilliance. Moreover, Chuck season one is a great blend of action, comedy and heart. If you are looking for an upbeat comedy drama with plenty of action pieces, then this is well worth purchasing.

It is one of the greatest series I have ever watched in my life.I have a DVR and rarely watch shows the day they are recorded, the exception to this, is Chuck.

The best thing about this show is it's uniqueness. Most other shows on TV right now are cast from a few different molds. You have Cop / CSI dramas, reality shows (which are really getting stale), medical drams, and situational comedies. Excellent Cast combination. The amazing acting ability of Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski, is a pleasure to watch.

Superb story. And excellent plots and the way every episode is inter- connected, totally unpredictable. Please don't end like this. Please start new season. Or even new series with same Cast Combination.

Starting watching this after I found out who Zachary Levi was thanks to a film called Tangled.Great TV Show

So after I saw Tangled I wanted to get more of Zachary Levi as I became a fan of his after seeing him in my all time favourite movie Tangled. So when I came across Chuck on TV as I saw Season 4 only I decided to watch all the rest of the Seasons from 1 to 5.

So far so good this show is great. The humor is great, the action sequences is good and Zachary Levi is really good as the title role Chuck. His a 20 something geek who receives an email off an old college buddy called Bryce Larkin. But when Chuck opens up the email he gets all these strange clips and somehow they enter his brain. But these clips aren't just clips, they are REALLY government files that Chuck can flash on and he can do all cool moves which can be seen on Season 2 at the end of the finale. Things get complicated for Chuck when his teamed up with 2 spies. Casey played by Adam Baldwin, and the beautiful Sarah Walker played by Yvonne Starhovski whom Chuck loves but she doesn't want to fall in love with him as this could ruin her chances of being a spy ,and spies aren't suppose to fall in love.

Chuck also has a best friend called Morgan played by Josh Gomez and he also works in Buy More which is a huge supermarket where he works as a computer nerd by day,but by night his an international spy working for the CIA.

Overall I really enjoyed Chuck and thanks to Tangled I finally found a new actor I can but into my all time favourite actors which is Zachary Levi. Bottom line if you liked The Matrix or Mission Impossible or just simply like Zachary Levi than Chuck is just for you.

Its funny, its quite romantic between Levi and Starhovski and its got A lot of Drama in there too,and some secrets about Chuck's past.

It's light hearted...but love the playoff between "NSA/CIA/FBI." It's fun fantasy fiction but with a bit of an "edge."

Sort of a Chill Out...Let's have fun kind of "make fun" of our situation Comedy/Drama?

Yeah...I'm liking it.

Hilarious situations, tongue in cheek humor. Loved the way they brought in the older actors too.

Romantic/Funny/Suspenseful Series I ever remember seeing.

It's truly a GREAT SUMMER WATCH. And, DU'ers who are aware of NSA/CIA and the CONFLICTS will enjoy it...

It's mix of James Bond with High Tech...and all the rest I said above.

And in these DARK TIMES... a cast of people who have compassion, humanity and one easily falls in love with all of them.
