Longmire -- season 4. Wow...
Three episodes in and I'm just floored.
This is like a Greek tragedy -- some of
the best tv I've seen this year!

(1,945 posts)I made myself stop last night (this am?) around midnight at episode 6. I had planned to stretch it out so it wouldn't be all over too quick, but I can't help it. I know I'll finish tonight. I really hope Netfix will give them another season, it's so good.

(28,858 posts)I finished ep 4 this evening, really good.
It's also nice that each episode is nearly an hour long.
That means that the characters really get nuance
and complexity and the plot details and back stories
can be worked out.
I also hope it gets another season.
Little Star
(17,055 posts)But it's one of my favorite shows. I've also read all the books in the book series so far, they are also excellent.
Stonepounder
(4,033 posts)Why, oh why, when there is even the slightest hint that a cop has been involved in something illegal, all of his cop buddies immediately jump to the conclusion that he's 'bent'. No matter how much of a straight-shooter he's been in the past, no matter his reputation as incorruptible, no matter how he's stood by his fellow officers, everyone turns on him in a heartbeat assuming the worst while he struggles to clear his name.
I've seen this time and again, on both British and American cop shows. Even though we know that in real life the 'thin blue line' rallies around even the worst cop to protect him - even to the point of lying and planting evidence, if you are a TV cop it is the exact opposite.
Just can't figure out why.

(28,858 posts)Maybe the writers think it's dramatic.
But what I hate is the cliffhanger!
I have to wait a whole fukking years to find out ...
well you know!

(88,117 posts)How often do they air episodes? I think in terms of once a week. I thought they just aired ep 2? Must be losing track of time.
Love the show.
Longmire on Netflix, Bosch on Amazon. 2 favorites.

(10,751 posts)...they are streamed on demand. So you can watch one episode in a week, or ten in a day -- your choice.
If you are asking how often new episodes come out, in the case of Longmire, they add a whole season at a time rather than one episode at a time. How long it takes to produce a new season, I don't know.
I hope I am not misinterpreting your question.

(88,117 posts)I am still thinking in terms of one show a week for a season.

(1,754 posts)I will have to check out the new episodes - thanks for the thread! I just never know what kind of stuff I'm going to learn on DU!

I mean, they can't just leave me with that last
cliffhanger!
