Netflix users: I've become addicted to "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries."
Essie Davis is a delight as the plucky, slightly scandalous Phryne Fisher. It's a fun, light confection, perfect for early summer viewing.
From imdb:
"A female sleuth sashays through the back lanes and jazz clubs of Melbourne in the late 1920s, fighting injustice with her pearl-handled pistol and her dagger-sharp wit."
Stars: Essie Davis, Nathan Page, Hugo Johnstone-Burt

(2,302 posts)I contributed to the Kickstarter (Aussie projects are funded differently). It should be AMAZING.
Let me add that I've read all the Miss Fisher books by Kerry Greenwood and they're even better than the shows...and Greenwood has another book series about a contemporary woman, a baker, who gets involved in mysteries. But to me nothing compares with Miss Fisher.
Although the Mrs. Bradley Mysteries starring Diana Rigg is like an older version of Miss Fisher in the same time period.
