Very good and 3 seasons to enjoy. Hinterland is also good, in the same vein and 3 seasons. Hinterland is Welsh.

Partly because it is set in Wales, near the town where my great grandfather was born. But the series is great. A slight spoiler - the story eventually circles back on itself. I plan to watch it over again to check for hints that I should have seen for the final story.

Are the daughters of the couple we stayed with in Aberystwyth, Wales in October of 2015. You do not see thme in the series, but a photo of them. I have several photos of Madelyn and Olivia. Charming girls. Their elder brother wants to be an Actor. Parents once worked for Capital One in London.

My husband's Maternal Grandmother's Great Great Grandfather emigrated from Aberystwyth to America in 1804. We spent 2 days at the National Library of Wales going through records. We will have to go to Cardiff on the next trip to look up David Samuels.

My great grandfather emigrated from Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn, about halfway between Aberyswyth and the Devil's Bridge (very prominent in Hinterland), in 1872 at 20 years of age along with an older brother.

I have a copy of his parents' marriage certificate but hope to trace back his mother's family farther. I think his father was English since on the 1841 and 1851 census he is listed as being born in London. In 1861 and 1871 he is listed as being born in Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn (?!).

I'm planning to spend time in the village as well as in the Welsh National Library in Aberyswyth looking for a Mary Morgan, daughter of David Morgan. It should be entertaining in a frustrating sort of way.

A few blocks from the 21 Department Store and the Train Station. There is a Park there too. Row of Brownstone houses acrossed the street from a church. One cannot get lost in Aberystwyth.

I highly recommend Harry's Pub. That is where I had Strongbow on tap. Good places to eat there too. The restaurant/pub at the Train Station was very good.

I'm a little paranoid about going that route.

I've been looking at renting cottages by the week for our travels in the UK next year - cheaper and more private than hotels but more like a hotel experience than moving into someone's home for a while.

We started watching it. Yes, it reminds me a little of Broadchurch. Takes a while to adjust our ears to the accent but once we do, some of the lines are quite humorous.

Thanks!
