Some other outlet has the rights so it’s not on netflicks. Yes it is so wonderful. I find the Aussie New Zealand show Rose Haven sort of similar. Not as good as the incomparable Detectorists but another small bore delight.

Acorn has British TV shows. It was owned by Mr Johnson (Robert L Johnson, the businessman who owns or did own Black Entertainment Television, always called Mr Johnson in references I see) until it was sold to AMC in February.

People may already know this but in case not, the series is written and directed by Mackenzie Crook, who plays Andy. I can't remember where I saw it now, maybe at the end of season 3??, but there is a short piece on 'the making of' that is about how he came up with the idea for the series and when he wanted to do the third season how everyone was excited to come back because they love him and working with him.

I remember in the first season, I kept looking at Andy's wife, thinking she reminded me of someone. It finally came to me that she looks like Diana Rigg. For good reason, she is the daughter of DR. She goes by the last name of Stirling but I think the resemblance is obvious. I love seeing her play with her mother.

I haven't heard anything about another season but I hope they will come up with one.

All 3 seasons, the 'Christmas Special', behind the scenes and bonus bits are on Acorn TV. I subscribe to it (cheap--$4.99/month) but always forget about it as I usually go to Netflix. But there are some of the good British series there, old and newer.
