Acorn TV

I access Acorn TV through my Roku and library card. I just discovered an Australian series called "East of Everything" which I found absolutely delightful! Anyone else watch this?

If nothing else, the scenery will make you want to book a flight to Australia.

I have had Acorn in the past through my Roku but had to pay for it.

3. Your library has to subscribe to a digital service.

Usually these services can be expensive for libraries, but I would ask a librarian at your local library if they have a service such as this. I believe my library's service is www.rbdigital.com.

It may or may not have Acorn TV. I never really got into Hoopla. Have you used it?

I did download it to my cellphone. It is supposed to offer 6 download per month with my library.

I'm still upset that they require a donation to watch some of their best programs. They'll release some episodes and then the majority are locked. I gave up on that even though I love PBS.

Wisconsin Public TV---which carries lots of PBS--as an affiliate. We subscribe to Dish.. PBS is part of the package -so no extra charges (we have just the basic package).

I use rabbit ears and I can get four PBS stations, but I miss some of the series stuff unless I make a concerted effort to see what's on when.

My grown children bought the Roku for me about 5 years ago and the only thing I pay for is Netflix which is $7.99 per month.

So, at your recommendation I'll keep going. I got distracted with "Ozark" but finished that in no time because of my binge watching

I just finished watching all six seasons and you are right - this was an addictive series! The acting is terrific but now I'm sad it's over.
