1. And that doesn't include the 1214 / day that die from nicotine addiction

So that brings the death toll to over 1500/day from all addictive chemicals

The 320/day comes to 117,000 / year (of which, by the way, about 80,000 are from alcohol http://www.cdc.gov/alcohol/fact-sheets/alcohol-use.htm )

So apparently it doesn't include the 443,000/year or so from nicotine addiction in the U.S. (1214 / day) - http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/tobacco/statisticssnapshot

Too little known fact: tobacco kills more alcoholics than alcohol -- http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17526626

2. And then to make it real depressing, every alcoholic and smoker affects how many family and friends,

leaving them in a spiral of despair. It's mind boggling.
