Detroit police officer attends breathalyzer training intoxicated

https://news.yahoo.com/detroit-police-officer-attends-breathalyzer-193827665.html
... A Detroit police officer attended a Michigan State Police training class with alcohol in his system, officials confirm.

... he blew a .08.

... State police Lt. Mike Shaw told the Detroit Free Press the officer was attending a DataMaster training class. A DataMaster is an instrument used to analyze blood alcohol concentration via a breath sample.

"During that class he volunteered to give a sample and it was determined he had alcohol in his system.

I've read that judgement is the first thing to go ... this story is a powerful illustration of that.

Being a cop, there is alot of coverage and civil service employee assistance programs. I really hope he gets clean & sober.
