The thing you are addicted to takes you away from worry about anything. ( It's why people get addicted.)
I am addicted to the internet and the net comes with the computer.
............................Maybe you are too............ Maybe?.....................
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
..... A person must be honest to yourself to come to a conclusion about the ADDICTION..
................................TOTALLY HONEST TO YOURSELF.....................................
Why? .if you are not honest with yourself, you will not come to the proper conclusion about an addiction...
Once you are ...."honest to yourself." you may beat the addiction.. Notice I said the word: ..."may."
........ If beating an addiction were ...'EASY' .......IT WOULD BE EASY (and it is NOT, "EASY" )..................
IF IT WERE EASY a lot more people would be clean and sober from whatever they are addicted to..........
and again: ......................................"IT IS NOT EASY TO BEAT AN ADDICTION ".........
....................Thank you for reading this post....( and it is, I think very important to explain this).....................
..................................................Stuart G...........................................................
Addictions can be anything, driving a car, watching TV,, on the computer, gambling, drinking, eating, ..and so on .....
...........................(only you can decide if you are addicted to it)......(or maybe an expert in that area).
we can do it

(223,396 posts)And since I went to my first AA meeting in November 2008, I've met more people who are cross addicted. When I was new, my AA sponsor also took me to Alanon, support for friends and family of alcoholics, CoDA, Co-Dependents Anonymous, and OA, Overeaters Anonymous, since when I drank, I didn't eat. And until the pandemic, ACOA, Adult Children of Alcoholics. There is help out there if you're ready. AA worked for me - and I still need AA meetings so I won't forget.
