Menopausal brain fog? Meds? Both

I did well in school and never usually, had a problem learning new things.

Reading and vocabulary were my Forte. I was reading college level in grade school.

Tonight, I ruined pasta sauce mix by continually reading 2 cups, not 2 cans. I got so upset I started to cry. Wth is wrong?

The sauce looked watery, so I rechecked the box directions, and it said cans, not cups.

and that even if you have no memory of waking up, you do. Irritability and mood swings have the same source.

Since men don't get it, medical science still isn't sure what causes this, along with the hot flashes that usually accompany it.

My cocktail was Benadryl and melatonin. The Benadryl got me to sleep and the melatonin kept me that way. Both are OTC. Neither is habit forming. Just avoid alcohol in the evening, it doesn't help deep, restorative sleep and doesn't get along with Benadryl.

As for the dumb cooking mistakes, they can happen to anyone. They just throw you for a loop when you're sleep deprived. Otherwise, you'd just turn the air blue, correct it, and move on.

If OTC stuff doesn't work, contact your doctor. There is help out there and you can survive this.

Nothing is to blame..a simple mistake. Just slow down n not try to do everything at once. All is good. Menopause is a natural cycle of women’s lives. Been trying to cope for a while now. There’s a great post..just scroll down to the Menopause Rhapsody.. enjoy it!
