at one time or another, I'd be willing to bet. I know I have. Don't beat yourself up too hard over it. I am 78 and have been paying bills for years and still do it on occasion! Here's a (virtual) hug to make you feel better.

But I put this one down and, dunno, wasn't paying close attention. Sigh

Put a stamp on the envelope and put the envelope in my jacket to mail and then found it in my jacket a month later. It happens.

(Caveat - assuming you trust the company)

Paying from you bank can take a little time before the payee gets it (and they don’t know about it until then) - but many payees have their own payment sites that will debit your bank account. They often count the payment as being made on the same (or next) day.
