Keep on fighting, Denninmi. You are in a battle for the ownership of your mind. Don't let anyone else tell you how to think and feel.

I saw that post in the lounge. That guy has a crass sense of humor and he may have just been poking fun in his weird way, but it sure as hell came across as mean spirited. In fact, in light of the nature of your posts lately, his comment was very mean spirited.

I didn't know if you wanted me to use your real name on the board. It's not immediately obvious from your user name if you are not looking for it. In my head I pronounce you user name like den-in-me.

Yeah, I think your counselor got to you in a good way there, Dennis. I think he's got it right, in my semi-educated view, especially knowing what I do about you.

But I don't think the boss will fire you if he finds out. It is a legitimate medical issue, and from what you've written about him in the past, I think he would understand. I think he would also understand why you weren't forthcoming to begin with. But as we have discussed, he really doesn't need to know.

But your family...yeah, I think that's where the real work will be. You have long standing issues there. You may be able to work through it without making waves. I had a similar problem and was able to get through okay while only making a few ripples. But if a tidal wave it has to be...

Well, binges. They can take on many forms. But running up big bills and getting into financial trouble is common among bipolar patients. The medical bills won't be bad after you get through the initial stages, but otherwise, yes, you better get the spending under control. A good thing kis that you can see yourself getting into trouble with this. Unfortunately, many they don't have that insight.
