I did it, after my daughter was born. Number four clippers with a fringe all the way around. It felt unbelievable and washing my hair was a snap.

Anyway, it looks adorable on you.

Coincidentally I just had a similar haircut. Normally I let my hair grow out way to long, mostly cause I'm lazy but also because I used to dislike the barber shop (I don't mind so much anymore). I get to the point where my head looks like a mop (I have really thick hair), think Rod Blagojevich LOL. At that point I have trouble looking myself in the mirror and decide OK I REALLY need to get this cut. Then I head to the barber shop and ask them to cut it real short. I've only been having it cut short recently, I used to just trim it. It feels good to have short hair and honestly it looks good on me. Though there was a long period where I had a pony tail down to the small of my back and that looked good on me too. Anyway just a few days ago I went in and asked them to cut it down to a #4 and #2 on the sides, this looks like what you may have as well. Feels great

i gave myself the same cut in high school, which, of course, ended in misery. did the same for my 30th and felt like a million bucks.

i wore my hair to the middle of my back for a long time until i realized this is what truly made me happy.

fuck societal norms, and i am so happy i have the confidence to say that.

having no hair is such a liberating thing.

edit: i was one shaggy bastid before i did this, i should have taken a photo of what was in the sink. i could have had a third cat if i'd wanted.

Too bad you're a married woman.

Seriously, looks great. Many women have short cuts, both pragmatic and conveys power and confidence. I know she lost her hair due to her cancer treatment, but look at Robin Roberts of ABC News - months later and still keeping it about like yours. Definite power cut.

Mine is not a buzz cut, but not much longer - go see my barber about 3 weeks, so I can towel dry and just run a comb through and call it good. Pragmatic.

i've been joking that it's either get a hair cut (think shaggy from scooby doo when you picture me) or just shave it off again. a bit of liquid courage and this is what happened.

my big aha moment was realizing i no longer gave a flying fuck what anyone else thought of me. i'm not an asshole about it, but i live my life for myself now.
