And of course, the other 2, having been owned by a golden retriever, long ear length pats and rubs. Newbie cheer rubs.

That and mixing in lighter/more cheerful reading than my usual diet of murder mysteries from around the world has helped.

Reading Jane Mayers Dark Times & Dark Money back to back was not a good idea. I should have put a cosy mystery in between them.

Meditation huh?

We did it because Impotus and GOPs were getting us down. We have all stuck with it ( 20 mins twice a day) for the last couple of months. They both had trouble sleeping and meditation improved it for them. I just feel generally better.

Here is one of my favorite cozy series authors for when I need a break from hardcore murder mysteries: Rhys Bowen. She has a sense of humor.

But stuff very far removed from reality, like Laurie R. King's Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series. When at my most anxious, I found these stories took me away into another world, and trying to figure out who somebody really was kept my racing mind busy.
To a better new year for all of us!

I’ve been dissociating a lot. That and isolating. Drifting off in fantasies of being productive. Ha!

This wave of exhaustion hits and I go to bed. It’s been bad lately and I have no energy to pull out. My meditating isn’t pulling me out; it helps me feel better but pulling out takes effort.
