What's for Dinner, Sat., June 26, 2021

It's hot here, so I'm making up cold plates with:

--sandwiches, quartered. Ham with chipotle cheddar and mustard-honey mayo. Turkey salad with the usual chopped celery, onion, and dried cranberries.

--mustard potato salad with chopped chives on top. I mixed in whole green olives stuffed with garlic cloves.

--Cream-cheese stuffed sweet peppers. Cold vegetables with spinach-artichoke dip. Cauliflower, celery sticks, pepper strips.

Dessert: square of milk chocolate. Cream cheese frosted lemon cookies.

I just found Aldi Low Carb burger buns this week! Cheesy little burgers with tons of cheese and fried onions for me tonight! Basic coleslaw on the side. I'm down from size 14 to 8 and I might just treat myself to some Rebel Triple Chocolate Ice Cream this weekend.

Sorry that it's behind a paywall - I find a lot of good recipes on the NYT Cooking website, and we find it worth the money.

There was some sweet corn and tomatoes and cucumber at the Farmers Market this morning, so we had those too.
