There will be a birthday cake in the oven in an hour or so. I'm making the chocolate cake on the back of the Hershey's cocoa can. This is the recipe my mom used to make.

Today is my dad's 90th birthday.

3. Iced cold brew with a float of sweet cream on top.

I’ll skip breakfast, probably. BLT for lunch. My guys are in Alaska for a week on a fishing trip. In their absence, I’m not making the usual amount of food. However, even though it’s hot out, I’m going to make a golden butter cake for the gentleman who was my parent’s handyman when they were alive. He brought be beets from his garden yesterday which means a baked item is in order.

4. started off with

Bowl of raisin bran with blueberries, and pecans.

After doing some heavy lifting in the garden, I decided I deserved a cream cheese bagel. Maple syrup flavored bagel.

Now back to structuring trellises for my tomatoes.
