Related: About this forumDoes anyone know where I can get Ball Jar regular mouth canning lids?
I got some at amazon earlier this year, but blackberries are prolific this year and I need many more. I read in the reviews at amazon that people have ordered Ball lids and have gotten counterfeit ones made in and shipped from China. I can find Ball Jars WITH lids, but I've got plenty of jars--I just need lids.

(4,164 posts)The question is how many do you need?

(31,811 posts)My black berries are crazy this year too. I've already done 20 jars of jam.
I bought a big package of just lids from target a few years ago. Also look in your grocery store in the barbecue/household "tools" aisle. Shop Rite had them.

(9,821 posts)Target, ACE Hardware, Lehman's Hardware or Walmart. I can find jars with lids, but not just the lids and that is all I need. Delmette, I need at least 48-50.

(23,307 posts)Does your local Target have them in-store? I'm also seeing them on the Tractor Supply website. Maybe there's one of those near you? Or, another farm/ranch/feed store? It's frustrating when you need something basic and can't find it. There are still supply issues all over the country.

(18,672 posts)I didnt realize how difficult it is just to find the lids that include the rings. I come across them used in bags in great condition or in the original boxes unused, mostly at the larger thrift stores, but a few at the locally-owned as well. This is where Ive found unopened boxes of jars really cheap, too.

(9,821 posts)lids that can be used for canning. I don't need rings. I just need flat lids that have the rubber seal on them. These are not supposed to be re-used.

(9,821 posts)all sorts of other canning stuff but no boxes with just lids. Not even any boxes with lids & bands. I just need lids.
amazon is 2 day shipping

(9,821 posts)(you know, with the fuzzy pictures and the American flag on the box) but the shrink wrap on the pkg. says "made in China" and there is no Ball logo on the lids. I read tons of comments where people said their jars didn't seal.
So I placed an order with amazon a couple months ago for Ball lids & bands. I tried to order 6 boxes but they put a limit of 2 boxes on my order. They were the real thing and I am grateful to have them, but I need more. My SIL and niece are canning tomatoes and making blackberry jelly, too.

(22,250 posts)to seal the jars. Frozen blackberries make a decent cobbler
I have found them at supermarkets, but the best place is a smaller grocery in a farming area. We used to be able to get just the seals so we could re-use the rings.
