Tortellini with tomato-cream sauce. Lots of basil and parmesan over the top.
Baby arugula drizzled with lemon-garlic olive oil. Arugula is from the garden.
A chocolate mochi for dessert.
on edit, I wanted to add some details about the prep for this dish.
I used San Marzanos. Unfortunately we did not have canned tomato sauce or any tomato paste to enrich it, so I had to go to Whole Foods and get some. Because I wanted to make the tomato sauce creamy, I bought heavy cream and also parmesan.
I used Rana tortellini that was already in the freezer, but not all of it. Thank heavens because it turned out so good I will want leftovers.
I put in some basil leaves, but mostly I julienned the basil leaves for the top.
It was incredible!!! Turned out so good.
