(43,120 posts)Dessert. There is an apple. There are figs. I could bake a cookie. There are lemons. And a grapefruit.

(68,539 posts)in this giant toaster oven, I bought. You can do homemade rotisserie, you can bake regular size casseroles. You can make great toast and also broil. It has convection too...I really love it...doesn't heat up the house. I made baked potatoes and homemade barbeque sauce. We also had salad and Jersey peaches...the first good peaches all summer. For dessert, I made a strawberry fruit jello-not the boxed kind-topped it with bananas and whipped cream. My Mom made this when I was a kid. I also cooked chicken for the three pups and they had some new liver treats they love. Have a great day everyone! By the way, is anyone else watching Evil? It was so scary...I said the rosary and slept with a night light!

(35,647 posts)you were very busy with that new toaster oven! Sounds like some tasty comfort food. I love BBQ sauce with meatloaf; yum.
Heard of Evil but haven't watched it yet.

(24,263 posts)been simmering on the stove for a few hours with country style boneless pork ribs in it. It's been in the crock for about three weeks. Not the meat, of course.

(22,025 posts)We sailed to the Thimble Islands off of Branford, CT between High Island and Pot Island, (no kidding).
Its kind of cool on the water this evening so Im making a simple stew using the leftovers: beef cubes, potato chunks, chopped carrots, onion slices, flour, and some garlic and red wine. Our anchorage is a little rocky so were grateful for our gimbled stove.
Weve still got a piece of fresh bread and some blueberries for desert.

(35,647 posts)Not between a rock and a hard place, but between High Island and Pot Island!
Sounds like you're in a good place, PJ. Seriously, I wonder how I never heard of that place before, having moved here from Connecticut.
There's an address in this county where I always wanted to live: High Street in Nutley, NJ. Alas, I lost a bid on a house there but ended up far better off in what I have now.
Nutley is where Martha Stewart grew up. She moved there when she was three years old.
