(2,343 posts)I'd put them between potato soup and mashed potatoes. Almost the state before you start smashing the potatoes after you've added the butter, cream, sour cream, salt and pepper. You stir at that point rather than mash them.

(43,123 posts)Don't know what's the matter with me. All I crave is potatoes.
Got Vax #3 today. Personnel are in a serious mood. I tried to lighten it up by saying, as she was prepping the needle, "I don't usually scream ...." She looked at me like 'uh-oh'. Then said "Don't scream." Finally she laughed slightly.
The personnel in the stores were all new. Walmart cashier didn't know an orange from a grapefruit, and I think I got clipped 10 cents a pound on the potatoes. "What kind of potatoes are these?" "Baking, white, or russet," I said, "All the same."
Cashier in the dollar store didn't bag all my items. I left. Guy comes running after me in the parking lot to hand me the rest of the items. Hope that's kosher as far as procedure, it was a young kid. I can't imaging leaving the register untended is a great idea.
I saved 3 cents on Tuna in Shop-Rite. And 20 quart powdered fry milk non-fat is almost TEN DOLLARS more at S-R over Walmart. But S-R house brand WW flour 1.13 cheaper than Walmart.
Don't even talk to me about shoes. We must be working down 4 years of unpopular unsold inventory.
Sorry to turn dinner into a price report. Shopping is frazzling.
