Trying out this turkey breast ciabatta dressing recipe today
to see if I want to use it for the holiday.
https://interactive.wttw.com/playlist/2020/11/24/americas-test-kitchen-thanksgiving I saw it on PBS/America’s Test kitchen and it looked delicious. Smells wonderful cooking in the oven now.

Dressing: tasty but too much liquid. I used 3 cups chicken broth but poured one cup out before even putting it in the oven because there was so much liquid. The spicy Italian sausage and red pepper flakes added a nice zing.
Pomegranate sauce: I don’t think I would’ve missed it if it wasn’t there. Turkey: the program said the skin would be crispy; it was tough but tasty. Probably should have turned the oven temperature up near the end. I’ll probably incorporate the sausage and pepper flakes into Thanksgiving in my traditional mixed cornbread and bread dressing and I’ll pre-season the turkey the same way again with salt, pepper and thyme. |
