What's for breakfast? Thursday, 5/5/22

I made a hash out of leftover pork loin, potato, onions, peppers and garlic. Had it w/ a cheesy egg.

coffee

Kind of sorry I did. I had a carb-free breakfast yesterday and felt good afterwards. I'm really thinking I need to cut back on the carbs--for me and for Al. I keep realizing that I just don't feel well when I eat them, and w/ Al's diabetes, he doesn't need them either.

But now that I’m older I feel yucky whenI eat too many carbs. I’ve been limiting myself on stuff like bread, cereal, potatoes, and things like that for a while, now, and I really do feel better and less bloated. Doesn’t make me stop wanting them, though!

bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon, thinly slice onion.

MissMillie, if you decide to cut back on carbs, I recommend this book:

Metabolism Miracle by Diane Kress

thriftbooks has it for 5 bucks and your library likely has it, too.

So we ran thru the drive-thru at the donut shop. I had raspberry filled as a rare treat and husband had a couple sausage rolls.

In the grocery order, I got some English muffins and cream cheese so husband will have something other than hard steamed eggs in the wee hours of the morning when he has to take ibuprofen.
