Going to my friend's house where she is doing a lamb roast.
To go with it I am taking fresh corn off the cob, cooked in butter and olive oil, along with a little potato and thyme.
She likes my cucumber salad, which is not the usual one I make. This one is called Asian Cucumber Salad and is a mix of rice wine vinegar, soy, sesame oil, garlic, a little sugar, ginger root, and toasted sesame seeds. Also a few red pepper flakes.
I'm taking cold hibiscus tea to drink as I still don't have my car back to go get kombucha.
I'm not sure what she has planned for dessert. Maybe just hot Earl Grey tea.

(22,767 posts)flavored with slices of stick pepperoni. Getting ready to make meatballs: combo of ground beef and mild Italian sausage, to drop into the sauce to cook. Will serve over either penne or cappellini, with a salad of cukes, grape tomatoes and onion in vinaigrette.

Sugar-free jello for dessert.
I made Dad some stuffed shells. The tomato sauce had ground sausage, onions and mushrooms. Green beans on the side.
