I'm going out on a limb and buying a couple of

lobster tails, just for the heck of it. I haven't had lobster in 30 years, and have quite forgotten how it tastes. Is it like crab? Do you guys have any good lobster recipes? The lobster rolls they serve out east look mighty good! Thanks!

If they are cooked you can heat them up. Then serve with lemon butter. applegrove Jun 2013 #3
Simple -- I think lobster and crab is often wasted by trying to stretch it. Lemon and butter m-m-m-m MiddleFingerMom Jun 2013 #4

Slightly like crab.

BROIL, and serve with lemon and butter, simple is best imo. You could probably also buy already steamed; many grocery stores do it this way.

You can split them for more even broiling if you want to. I always throw a pinch of cayenne into the butter, but that's just how I roll. That and lemon wedges should be it. Sides need to be plain and understated.

Assuming uncooked tails, I put them on the grill shell and all and cook them to an internal temperature of 140 degrees turning them 2-3 times during cooking. After grilling let them rest for about 10 minutes, open with a pair of kitchen shears and serve with melted butter.

And serve with butter with a little fresh lemon squeezed into it.
