Related: About this forumQuick suggestions, please.
Had dental work done yesterday, nothing enormous, but healing of the 'reconstruction' makes normal eating/chewing inadvisable for a few days.
Will go to grocery store in a couple of hours, to assure I don't starve (NOT likely!,) or drop into extreme boredom or depression.
Suggestions about what I should get? Smooth, not requiring much chewing, and leaving no significant bits and pieces necessary, but NOT boring!
THANKS!

(146,218 posts)Yogurts, bananas, broths (Miso!).
You can probably move up to pastas and melons after a few days.
Juices of all kinds.
It will all be better soon!

(24,146 posts)i make significant changes, though. sweet potato rather than regular, coconut milk rather than evaporated, canned pumpkin and adding carrots and curry.
feel better!
sounds like a keeper. Was thinking of split pea soup, but we did SUCH a good one at home (w holiday ham bone,) that I kind of dismissed the idea. This may work its way into the itinerary.
OK, gotta pack the car and head out!

(111,174 posts)Check out the frozen foods section, most of the selections tend toward the mushy side of the spectrum. Things like spaghetti and meatballs, meatloaf and mash, and other things that use ground meat and either pasta or potatoes would do nicely. Stay away from Mexican, tortillas can be quite chewy.
Ice cream and Jello are good desserts.

(130,768 posts)Arrived here, 'home sweet home,' after visit to grocery store, with your suggestions in mind, and pregnant daughter's request for chocolate donuts, of which I've had one mini!
HOPE to cook something in a day or so.
