1. Think I'm going to do a beef stir fry. Then cold plates the rest of the week - high 90's predicted.

Plus I need to get all my snow peas picked before they sizzle. My side of town will likely hit 100.

I remember spending some time in Maine. We'd pick mussels in the morning and blueberries in the afternoon.

What a feast!

Enjoy.

I've got a can of peach halves I want to use, so I'm going to come up with a glaze for the hen. Since I don't have preserves, I'll just mash'em up with some ginger (maybe garlic too), and reduce it on the stove top to make a glaze.

As for sides, who knows. They'll be a last minute thing.

solar oven in order to welcome my son to Mexico today.

But he messed up and thought his flight was tomorrow and completely missed it.

He's going to make it tomorrow, so I've put that off a day.

So…… no plans at this time. Maybe just a PB & J wrap.

I dunno.

If he was coming to CO he'd have to have chicken soup with me. 21 deg. tonite, 2-3 ft of snow in the mountains. Hope he has fun and catches some delish fish.

I'd take 21 degrees and 2-3 feet of snow, but just for one day.

so dinner was chicken, mashed potatoes (real potatoes -- I think the boxed ones are the devil's spawn), gravy, and peas.

There will be leftovers of the same and also chicken quesadillas later on this week. It's not that big a chicken, but I do live alone, so I'll probably freeze up some of it.
