Thinking about making these for my (adult!) daughter on her birthday. Have never tried them so was curious about whether the JD and chocolate would be a good combo or not.

Also, I like the presentation of these.

3. have you never had bourbon balls? we make them at xmas time. I am sure these will be good, too.

4. I have had rum balls at the holidays....

But never bourbon. I've had JD (in my distant youth) and can barely even remember how that tastes.

I'm not much of an imbiber, though I do like the idea of using booze in certain recipes. Love the idea actually.

Yes, I will take pics and post if I make these cupcakes, providing they don't look a mess.

5. there is a website called Nailed it !! Hilarious. People post the professional pictures

8. Jack isn't bourbon, and bourbon isn't Jack.

Jack is Tennessee whiskey, it gets an extra filtration step that IMO makes it taste nasty. I say this with mild passion as a man who loves bourbon above all else...but dare to call Jack bourbon in Lynchville and you'll learn why the town has that name!
