Would you mind answering a question about a different Japanese food?
I've seen recipes for Japanese cheesecake.






Have you eaten this? I noticed it was far less sugar than a NY style cheesecake and looks to be lighter overall. Is it typically served plain? And do you think it would be suitable for dessert for an Easter brunch? I need something I can make the day before and have it still be fresh and yummy for brunch the next day.

I believe I have seen it served in Japan town (Nihonmachi) and yes normally served plain or sometimes with vanilla icing. Its not as sweet as NY style of Cheese cake, but it will work well for your Easter Brunch. Maybe make some and experiment with it.

Often French Chefs will come to Japan and try some of the confectioneries and experiment with flavors. You can do this too, and enjoy!

That green tea cake is beautiful, and the chef is so meticulous.

I think I'll make that cheesecake another time. I'm serving eggs for brunch, and that cake has 6 eggs in it. That would be a bit much for one meal.
