I'll be home late, so just a salad.

1. Whatever I scrape out of the fridge to make some room.

Leftover stew in all probability.

Painted some more of the living room this afternoon. I'm quite possibly the world's slowest painter, only maybe did a 5x5 section of one wall today. The walls are dusty as heck, so I wash down a section, then dry and paint it, while spending half my time chasing the new dog away so she doesn't get paint in her fur. I've got maybe half the living room done now, albeit in discontiguous sections, mostly above the level she can jump up to. I'm still going to have to do the bottom, though, so I'll have to do sections and lean baby gates in front of them as they dry, as I did with the lower parts in the Christmas tree corner. I did get enough done today, though, that I can rehang a couple of framed prints. Took down a Brassai (Brouillard, avenue de l'Observatoire, 1934), going to put up a print with the Aurora Borealis over a snowscape from some Alaskan photographer whose name eludes me that the housemate picked up on her cruise up there with her parents, and a nature print of a cardinal among some birch trees, as we continue to slowly redo the living room in a 'Winter' theme. (Dining room is Autumn, kitchen is Spring, don't really have a Summer room yet.)

3. My wife was the world's slowest painter.

She spent 3 months painting one bedroom with a 2½ inch brush.
