a fairly new Bosch dishwasher which I have many problems with it.

Saturday night was a great dinner with lots of post cleaning, and cleaning while it was prepared.

Is it just me who uses so many things in preparing and cooking a decent dinner? I think it is the difference between cooking in my home vs. cooking while camping. With the latter you get by with what you've got.

When at home, I have too many things I think, and I end up using them in a whirlwind of making the best dinner I can.

There is a middle ground I know. I just have to figure it out.

I like the white meat, my husband likes dark, so I purchase a whole chicken and split in half, long-ways, and get two meals for two people off the chicken. So I cut-up the half a chicken, dumped on some barbeque sauce and stuck in the oven. I'd cooked some pinto beans in the crockpot overnight. to complete the meal, added some steamed rice and my winter favorite, apple, carrot and cabbage coleslaw. I had my white meat, hubby had his dark meat. Dogs got a little bit of rice and some barbeque sauce on their dog food. Everyone was happy!

baked redskin potatoes with peppers/onions, sauteed cabbage with garlic & cumin, field peas.

Oh, and we also had a spinach/tomato salad and the last of our Christmas gift pies--a French coconut pie!
