What's for Dinner, Sun., July 10, 2016

Watermelon salad with feta cheese.

Vidalia onion ground beef patty. They're already made up; I bought them at the store like that. Instead of the grill, I put them in the slow-cooker. Sounds weird, but they are very tender, and now that I've experienced them that way, I wouldn't do it any differently.

Ribs baking in a slow oven (300) tightly wrapped in foil with a dry rub. May or may not finish off on grill, it might rain.
Fresh or frozen beef patties with onions? Do you put anything else in the slow cooker with them? Sounds good!

Tweaked a bit since I didn't have basil or jalapenos . I put a can of chopped tomatoes&green chili in for a bit of heat. The sherry vinegar brand I used is Napa Valley Naturals 7% acidity. I'll toaster-oven a few slices sourdough bread with garlic olive oil.

with a dry rub. Baked beans, slaw and a 3-bean salad too.

Looks like it's pork day for a bunch of us, eh?

We're cleaning out the fridge- enchiladas and/or Italian beef. Enchiladas come w/ cottage cheese and tortilla chips on the side (I know it sounds weird, but it's good), and Italian beef comes w/ new red potato wedgies. Plenty of red wine tonight too, it's been a day.

My husband went with the leftover Italian beef... and the stray free-range Brat.

those who were there enjoyed sliced, smoked ham and turkey. Mac & cheese. Coleslaw. Tomatoes & cucumbers. Green beans. Buttered corn. Lemon-Blueberry tart. We will enjoy the leftovers this coming week.
