What's for Dinner, Wed., Jan. 11, 2016

Udon noodle soup bowl, since it was so good the other night. I had to work late tonight, so no time to cook. It has chicken, greens, noodles, peppers, etc. Ummm! Looks de-lish.

For an appetizer, though, I'm having rosemary crackers and goat cheese.

If this isn't enough, I might make a spinach-mushroom-hardboiled egg salad with bacon.

The salad, especially, gives me an idea to have that one night this week.
I made chickpea vegetable soup, a Times recipe, for The Guy. I am having a cheese omelet and a whole buncha bacon on the side (I'll have a big salad later as part of my whole midnight snack thing).

Day One of serious low-carbing did NOT go well. I took a Xanax to help me fall asleep, and I went into the kitchen and had some of my remaining birthday Godiva!

What did I have for dinner tonight? Family and friends.

I went to my baby brother's 50th birthday get together. It was at a brew pub in a room off the main area. My sister, who was not expected, drove 150 miles to drop in.

There was lots of finger food brought by the guests. I enjoyed myself and ate reasonably, prosciutto wrapped cheese, cocktail shrimp, veggies and dip, and a spicy turkey wrap. I did bring home a pile of cupcakes.

All in all a good "dinner".
