What to Cook This Week

'Good morning. I woke up thinking about how our past influences how we cook. That’s probably because it’s spring memoir season, and they’ve been piling up around here. My favorites showcase our common goal here, which is to cook and eat with purpose and with pleasure.

For those who don’t know her, may I introduce you to Jessica B. Harris? Or rather, let my writing sister Tejal Rao do it in her artful essay in The New York Times Magazine.
