Found it @ the store yesterday, in a discount bin for $8. Since I'm planning on using it for zucchini/squash veg pasta strands for soups, stir fries and salads, I won't be disappointed if it doesn't work.

(683 posts)I think I paid about $12 for it, a couple of years ago.

(15,805 posts)I made a couple of salads last year and forgot about it. It was a chore to use as I recall, but we love eating more veggies in hot weather so I'll have to dig it out and give it another try.

(15,805 posts)And I just made a huge beef stir fry... with noodles, of course. Now I wish I had thought about using the spiral maker doodad. Well, I have another stir fry on the menu so I'm go gonna find that thing now before I forget it again.

(1,907 posts)I have also used it instead of slicing stuff in soups. I just cut the strands in to smaller sections.

(2,302 posts)The strands are only the length of the vegetable, but that's good enough for me. I also use a regular peeler for "fettucine" and my mandoline for thin slices that I use to make lasagne.
